Copyright and licensing

This page sets out what ECG Pro owns, what it uses under licence from others, and how to ask permission to use any of it. It covers both the ECG Pro and ECG apps and this website.

ECG recordings and case data

The ECG recordings in the ECG and ECG Pro apps, together with the interpretations recorded against them, are protected by copyright and are licensed for use inside the apps only. They may not be extracted, redistributed, republished or used to train or evaluate machine learning models without written permission.

If you would like to use any of this material, write to hello@ecgpro.app and say what you need and what for. Requests for teaching and for academic research are welcome and are usually straightforward.

The ECG tracings on this site

46 of the 49 ECG images published on this site are drawn directly from ECG Pro's own recordings. Each one is rendered at true scale (25 mm/s and 10 mm/mV, with a calibration pulse), and every measurement printed on it was taken from the waveform shown. These images are the copyright of WMS, Inc. and are covered by the same terms as the recordings they come from.

The article text, the recognition criteria, the differential tables and the questions on the finding pages are original work and are likewise the copyright of WMS, Inc.

Images used under licence

Where ECG Pro's own library could not supply an honest example of a finding, the page uses a third-party image. There are 3, credited in full below. Images released under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence remain under that licence, and anyone reusing them from here is bound by its terms rather than by ours.

This site sets its text in Lora and DM Sans, both served by Google Fonts and both released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
